#CTCC24 Watch Parties

#CTCC24 Watch Parties

With November fast approaching it's nearly time for delegates to gather for the annual Churches that Change Communities conference, hosted this year in the great city of Liverpool!

If distance prohibits you from being in the room, why not consider joining us online, and hosting a #CTCC24 watch party?

There are already seven watch parties planned around the UK, giving delegates the chance to worship, learn, discuss, pray and eat together, with potential for plenty more.

If you have a group of budding social activists, or perhaps church members looking in from the sidelines (but unsure where they fit) this could be a great team-building opportunity!

The conference day runs on Saturday 9th November from 10am-5.30pm. Online delegates will be able to join with worship led by David & Pippa Lloyd, watch a keynote message delivered live by Natalie Williams, and join with prayer times led from the main hall.

In livestreamed seminars journalist and presenter, Lauren Windle will talk about changing the odds for people living in poverty, and Steve Rouse (Church Team Director at London Institute of Contemporary Christianity) will consider how we can avoid discipling new believers in to middle class Christianity, and instead build churches which welcome and represent all.

Online delegates can choose from seven short TED-talk style episodes, each presented by a different member of the Jubilee+ team (all digital content will also be made available to in-person delegates):

Justice-Carriers: Christina Duerden
Peace-Makers: Rosie Hopley
System-Changers: Ben Parish
Heart-Binders: Will Pearce
Voice-Raisers: Rachel Wilson
Mercy-Bringers: Natalie Williams

What makes a good watch party?

Get together in a comfortable room in a home or church building (anywhere quiet with a decent wifi connection!) and nominate somebody to organise tea, coffee and snacks. If you are located within striking distance of another likeminded church, why not consider joining forces, and building connections with another team?

Tickets are £35 per person (whether online or in-person) with £5 subsidised tickets available to those experiencing financial hardship.

For those hosting larger watch parties a flat fee of £350 is available (and allows an unlimited number of delegates to gather). To take advantage of this offer simply select the watch party option on our booking site.

Don't forget to reach out to us @JubileePlus on Twitter, Facebook or Insta if you're hosting. We'd love to keep in touch with you and your Watch Party on the day!
